This community-run orphanage houses 46 boys and girls between the ages of four months to three years old. The orphanage itself has, for quite a while now, been supported by Uniteam Marine (through donations by NRS (Norddeutsche Reederei Schuldt). The donations supply the orphanage with important nutritious food, milk powder, clothing and toys as well as medicinal support. The importance of the donations is evident in the constant improvements we see in the children, both mental and physical. Every 14 days Uniteam Marine staff makes the trip to the orphanage to bring supplies, and of course the highlight is always, ice cream. © 2008 - Myanmar Development Aid e.V.
